Who Am I?
Hi I'm Dana.
I grew up outside of Philadelphia and I go to school at the University of Miami. I study computer science with minors in interactive media, film, and journalism.
As of january 2021, I have just turned 22 and am about to start my last semester of college. I am currently preparing to find career opportunities post grad and I am looking to gain experience in the media field.
What am I currently working on ?
I am currently studying at the University of Miami. I will graduate in May 2021 with a Bachelors of Arts in Computer Science. I started college as a computer science marine science double major but I changed to just computer science my sophomore year. it made more sense for me to do a single major so I could pursue my other interests like my journalism, interactive media, and film minors.
In Spring 2021, I am interning with 360 Magazine as their interactive media development intern. I help to manage their website and produce content for their magazine. check out my latest stories here.
I am a work study at the University of Miami School of Communications in the equipment room. I have worked there since fall of my sophomore year of college. I help students and faculty with renting film, tv, and audio equipment.
I am the executive producer of the UMTV late night comedy show "Off The Wire". we have just wrapped our fall season and are in preproduction for the spring season. I help write, direct, edit, and put out fires at all of our in studio and out of studio shoots. our latest episode can be found here.

When: a simple timeline of my life
past
I grew up in cheltenham, Pennsylvania. I went to cheltenham high school and graduated in 2017. I originally planned on attending temple university in Philly. I was accepted to the university of miami as a computer science/marine science double major and made the choice to push myself by moving to miami alone. Sophomore year I switched to just a computer science major and got my scuba certification because I did not want to pursue fisheries research. again I chose to go off on my own and decided to study abroad in Rome for fall 2019 and focus on my creative interests, film, journalism, and animation. when I returned I realized that the computer science Bachelors of Arts fit my ambitions best and added my interactive media, film, and journalism minors.

I am a senior in college. I am actively pursuing opportunities that allow me to explore and improve my abilities. currently I am the web master for delta kappa alpha professional cinematic fraternity as well as the pledge education officer, along with my executive producer position with off the wire. I also at my internship and work-study job. I am aiming to be as well versed in as many media formats as I can while I have the time to explore them.

In Spring 2021, I will be graduating college and hopefully securing a professional opportunity that will allow me to grow and learn even more.
Why ?
with the current state of the world, sometimes its hard to remember why everything is going the way it is but its important to take stock of all of the important people and things in your life that motivate you to do your best. I personally am extremely grateful for my support system in Philadelphia and miami that have helped me grow into who I am today.
